Features and Benefits
TEMPERATURE MODELING
The motor’s thermal state is continuously monitored (during start-up, stopping, and operation). Ambient temperature is also monitored.
RETAINED TEMPERATURE MEMORY
For continuous overload protection, even in the event of a complete power loss. When power supply is restored, the MVC4 soft starter remembers the last motor temperatures, the downtime is evaluated, and the temperature model is adjusted accordingly.
NON-VOLATILE MEMORY
Temperature modeling data is stored in memory without batteries.
REAL-TIME TEMPERATURE TRACKING
Temperature is measured in real-time, and the temperature model is adapted for different cooling modes, considering motor temperature, operating status, and power loss.
DYNAMIC FAULT THROWING
This function is only enabled when there is sufficient thermal capacity for a successful motor start.
TEMPERATURE MODEL ADJUSTMENT
The impact of phase current imbalance or additional temperature sensors is determined.
Motortronics MVC4 soft starters are designed for AC motor starting in any fixed-speed application. Utilizing “Temperature Modeling” provides maximum motor protection while ensuring smooth and consistent acceleration and deceleration control. The MVC4 ensures the control and protection of your most critical equipment.
Easily selectable control functions and adjustable acceleration/deceleration curves ensure smooth operation for every system. The soft starters are housed in NEMA 12/IP55 rated enclosures.
With a 500% overload capacity for 60 seconds, the MVC4 will never be a limiting factor in your system. Superior motor protection, an integral bypass contactor, and optically isolated fiber optics mean the MVC4 soft starter represents the pinnacle of product development.
If your motors are protected and controlled by Motortronics MVC4 soft starters, we guarantee that your critical medium voltage equipment will be safeguarded and operate at its best.
